How to customize product labels like New, Sale, 20% OFF, etc..
The Product Labels extension lets you place labels, ribbons, or tags (e.g., NEW, SALE, 20% OFF) on specific products and show them on Category and Product pages.
You can start with a ready-made set of artwork by downloading our sample Product Label images and uploading them, then adjusting as needed.
Case: “20% OFF” Sale Campaign
1) In Admin → Marketing → Catalog Price Rule, create a rule that applies a 20% discount to the products/categories you want in the sale.

2) Go to WeltPixel → Manage Labels and Add a new label (or edit an existing one). Configure the label (text/artwork, position, visibility) and target the same categories used by the price rule. Save the label.

3) Ensure cron is running and the WeltPixel ProductLabels Rule Product indexer is set to Update by Schedule (check in Admin → System → Index Management). After the index updates, the labels will appear on the storefront.
Case: Set “NEW” label by date range (From / To)
Use Magento’s built-in Set Product as New dates to drive your labels.
1) Edit the product(s), then set Set Product as New From and To dates.

2) Enable promo-rule usage on the “new” attributes:
Go to Admin → Stores → Attributes → Product, search for the new attributes (e.g., Set Product as New From Date, Set Product as New To Date) and, under Storefront Properties, set Use for Promo Rule Conditions to Yes.

3) Configure the label conditions:
Go to Admin → WeltPixel → Product Labels → Manage Labels, add or edit your NEW label, and in Conditions, reference Set Product as New From Date and Set Product as New To Date.

Condition example:
If ALL of these conditions are TRUE → the label will show only during the configured date window (e.g., from 2019-02-13 to 2019-02-15).
Case: Set “SALE” label by date range (From / To)
Follow the same pattern as the NEW case, but use Magento’s Special Price date attributes:
- Special Price From Date (
special_from_date) - Special Price To Date (
special_to_date)
Tip: In Stores → Attributes → Product, edit these attributes and set Use for Promo Rule Conditions to Yes (if not already). Then, in Manage Labels, build conditions using those attributes so the SALE label appears only within the special price window.
Notes & Tips
- For multi-store setups, ensure label visibility and conditions are set for the correct store view(s).
- After changes, if labels don’t appear immediately, verify cron/indexers, and clear caches via System → Cache Management.
- You can combine Category, Attribute, and Date conditions to target exactly the products you want.
