# How to enable SSL in Magento 2

First, you need to contact your hosting provider to install the SSL certificate. Once it’s installed, you’ll need to enable it in Magento.

To enable SSL on your Magento installation, head into:

**Admin -> Stores -> Settings -> Configuration -> Web -> Base URLs (Secure):**

**1.** Edit the URL in **Secure Base URL** from **http** to **https**:

**2. Use Secure URLs on Storefront:** Set this to **Yes** to ensure all Storefront pages are only accessible via **https://** with your SSL certificate.

**3. Use Secure URLs in Admin:** Set this to **Yes** to ensure the Magento Admin panel is only accessible via **https://** with your SSL certificate.

**4.** Click **Save Config.**

Your SSL is now activated and your Magento store is fully secured!
