# How to mark the backend important updates pop-up / notification as read

Mark admin announcement pop‑ups as **read** to stop them from reappearing until a new message arrives.

### Step 1 — Close the current pop‑up

### Step 2 — View all messages
From the Dashboard, click **See All Messages**.

### Step 3 — Mark the message as read
On the messages grid, select the message and choose **Mark as Read**.

### Notes
- **Avoid disabling all notifications**: You *can* disable the native `Magento_AdminNotification` module, but this is **not recommended** because you will miss important Magento security and platform notices.
- **Disable only WeltPixel notices (optional)**: Starting with version **1.7.1 (July 12, 2018)** you can turn off only WeltPixel product notifications while keeping Magento’s core alerts enabled.
  - Go to **Stores → Configuration → WeltPixel → Developer → Notifications** and toggle the setting as needed.
