Instagram widget not showing Tags or Location feed
When you create an app on the Instagram Platform, it starts in Sandbox mode. This mode is designed for development and testing before submitting the app for review and going live.

Understanding Sandbox Mode Restrictions
- Data is restricted to sandbox users only.
- You can only access the 20 most recent media items from each sandbox user.
- As a result, only photos belonging to the sandbox user will be returned.
- If your Instagram feed type is set to Tag or Location, only the sandbox user’s photos will appear.
Displaying Tags or Location Feeds
If you want to display photos with a specific Tag or Location, uploaded by any public Instagram user, you need to:
- Exit Sandbox mode.
- Submit your Instagram app for review.
- Once approved, switch your app to Live mode.

✅ To show public photos by tag or location in your widget, your Instagram app must be approved and running in Live mode, not Sandbox.
