MIgrating from manual SSH installation to Composer Installation

Starting with version 1.16.0 of all of our products, we've introduced Composer Installation. This has become the sole available installation method for all WeltPixel Products, including the Google Analytics 4 integration, the Pearl Theme and all other extensions. This means products and new updates will no longer be provided via zip files.

If you already have your WeltPixel product installed via SSH (in the app/code/WeltPixel directory), you'll need to migrate to Composer Installation. There are numerous advantages to this, including:

Significantly increased security
Faster, easier updates
Cleaner codebase and maintainability

The migration process is very simple, and we'll address it in the sections below.

Composer Setup

To gain access to Composer Installation, follow the steps below:

Log in to your customer account on the WeltPixel website
Use the navigation menu on the left to head into My Products.
Find your product and click Enable Composer. The page will refresh.
At the top of the page, you'll see your Composer Configuration Commands.
Run these commands in the root of your Magento 2 project.

How to reindex your Magento 2 store from admin or SSH / CLI

a. Reindex from Magento Admin

Sometimes not all indexers are reindexed using the admin reindex option. Always verify via SSH.

Go to System > Index Management and check indexer statuses.
Select the items marked as Reindex required, then go to Actions > Update on schedule.

This will trigger a reindex for the selected indexers.

Important: Sometimes not all indexers are reindexed using Admin reindex, even if the time and date are updated. Double-check using the SSH/CLI method below.

Reindex Mode

You can set your indexers as Update on Save (entities are indexed when saving admin configurations) or as Update by Schedule (indexers reindex on a recurring schedule, default once per day).

For Update by Schedule to work correctly, make sure your cron jobs are running properly. If you are using the WeltPixel Magento 2 Pearl Theme or any other WeltPixel Magento 2 extension, you can verify cron jobs in the Developer Section included with our products.

Q: How can I transfer an order license to another account?

To transfer a license for an order to another account, you will need to contact the WeltPixel support team directly. You can do this by emailing support@weltpixel.com with your order number and the account details of the recipient. Ensure that you provide all necessary information to facilitate the transfer.

Module Updates

Q: How can I get the latest version of the module I purchased?

To access the latest version of the module, ensure you have an active Support & Updates Plan. If your plan has expired, you can renew it in the Downloadable Products section of your WeltPixel account. If your plan is active but you can't access the update, it may be due to the phased rollout of updates. Check back later to see if the latest version is available.

Fixing Autoload Errors When Installing WeltPixel Extensions from Magento Marketplace

You may encounter an Autoload Error during installation from the Magento Marketplace if both the standalone extension and its dependency pack (the package name ending with -theme) are selected. Normally, installation should work whether you select only the standalone extension or both the extension and its dependency pack. However, if you do see an Autoload Error, you can resolve it quickly via SSH by removing the -theme dependency pack.

Quick Fix (General Steps)

Connect to your server via SSH and navigate to your Magento root.
Remove the dependency pack that ends with -theme using Composer.
Run Magento setup upgrade.
Disable maintenance mode (in case it was enabled by the installer).
