How to configure category page with / without sidebar

Pearl Theme follows Magento’s default category page layout (Luma). You can configure the category layout (with or without sidebar) using the default Magento catalog options.

From the Magento Admin dashboard, navigate to:

Products -> Categories and select the desired category.

  • Set Enable Category → Yes
  • Set Include in Menu → Yes

Category Page with Sidebar

If you want to display the sidebar with product filters on the category page:

  • Go to Products -> Categories -> (select category) -> Display Settings -> Anchor and select Yes
  • Choose the number of columns (products per row) from WeltPixel -> Category Page -> Products per line (Desktop view) – options: 2, 3, 4, or 5

Category Page without Sidebar

If you don’t want to show the sidebar:

  • Go to Products -> Categories -> (select category) -> Display Settings -> Anchor and select No
  • Navigate to Design -> Page Layout and select Fullscreen
  • Choose the number of columns (products per row) from WeltPixel -> Category Page -> Products per line (Desktop view) – options: 2, 3, 4, or 5

Notes

  • This layout configuration works for categories without subcategories. For more details on setting Magento layouts for other category pages, refer to the official Magento guide.
  • Before checking changes on the frontend, clear all caches and regenerate LESS and CSS files.
  • We recommend updating to the latest Pearl Theme release to take advantage of new features and improvements.
