How to Set Store Logo in Magento 2

Purpose
Add or update your storefront logo so it matches your brand everywhere it appears.

Where to make the change

  1. In the Magento Admin, go to Content → Design → Configuration.
  2. Click Edit on the Store View you want to change (or Global if you want one logo across all views).
  3. Open the Header section.

  • Logo Image Upload: Upload a PNG/JPG/GIF of your logo.
  • Logo Image Alt: Enter meaningful alternative text (helps accessibility & SEO), e.g., Your Brand – Official Store.
  • Logo Image Width / Height: Set the rendered dimensions in pixels to avoid layout shifts.
  • Welcome Text (optional): Customize the greeting shown in the header.

Save & publish

  1. Click Save Configuration.
  2. Go to System → Cache Management and Flush Magento Cache.
  3. Reload the storefront to see the new logo.

Tips

  • Scope matters: If you run multiple websites/stores/store views, make sure you’re editing the correct scope before uploading.
  • File formats: PNG is ideal for transparency; JPG can be smaller for photographic marks; GIF works for simple flat logos.
  • Crisp display: For best results on high‑density screens, upload a source image at ~2× the displayed size and set the width/height to the intended display size.
  • Not seeing updates in Production mode? Clear caches and consider redeploying static content if required by your deployment process (commands vary by host/CI setup).
